The Beekeeping Education Cenre of Gorenjska preserves Slovenia's rich beekeeping heritage, whilst also following contemporary standards of beekeeping technology. The friendly staff at the centre are happy to show visitors the apiary with an observation hive, and the honey bottling and honeycomb production facilities. 

 

Tastings of honey and honey products are available in the exhibition-sales area. At the end of the tour you can visit the well-stocked Beeshop.

 

In addition to visiting the centre, groups are also offered the chance to visit the centre's apiary, which is home to a family of Carniolan grey bees, and the opportunity to taste honey and honey products.

 

Various workshops are held at the centre in its seminar room, which can accommodate up to 100 people, where there are lectures and also advisory sessions for beekeepers.

 

OPENING HOURS

Mondays - Friday from 9am to 3pm

 

GUIDED TOURS

Every Wednesday from May to September at 10.30am, 11am and 3.30pm. 

For groups, and by prior arrangement, the centre is also open outside the regular opening hours.

 

PRICES

Entrance fee with guided tour and degustation of honey: 4 € per person
